Kia/ Hyundai DUAL-CLUTCH TRANSMISSION (DCT) Problems Apparently there is a big problems with the & 7 speed DCT (dual clutch transmission) automatic transmission. I believe they are fitted to a range of Kia/Hyundai cars, I believe Ceeds/Optima/Sportage etc. It is an automatic gearbox without a torque converter.
Sufficient time for a good review of the pitfalls and pleasures of Owning a Hyundai i10. Due to an accident, mileage has been curtailed and so far only covered 27,000 miles eventful though it has been. The new Hyundai Promise Approved Used Cars programme is offered on both petrol and diesel cars, plus electric, hybrid and plug-in hybrid models.
Adaptive cruise control and rear-cross traffic alert will also be available, with the latter warning the driver of approaching traffic when reversing out of a narrow area, such as a driveway. My daughter’s 2009 Hyundai i30 developed a gearbox noise, which she reported at the main dealer 12 months ago. At the time the mechanic told her it was nothing and to ignore it. I drove the car today and in 20 yards told her that the clicking noise sounded like a bearing breaking up, probably on the first motion shaft in that it is input speed and goes when the clutch is depressed. The Answered by Honest John. Problems with radios fitted to Hyundais seem to be common. But there is no commonality. The i30 is built in the Czech Republic. The i20 is built in India.
